Before moving into tech, I spent years teaching in diverse settings, from the Peace Corps in Mongolia and English classrooms in Vietnam to special education settings supporting students with complex needs. My work taught me to design for real people, not ideal users, and to pay close attention to what helps someone truly understand and succeed.

I bring that perspective to my work as an engineer today. My recent projects include a multilingual document assistant that makes legal and civil service documents more accessible to non-English speakers. To assess accuracy, I developed an evaluation suite that measures translation quality using both automated metrics and human review.
